Maintaining a Positive Mindset

We want you to maintain a positive mindset for five straight days! The goal is for you to directly feel the impact that an improved mentality can have on your health and career. Now, don’t fret. We aren’t setting you up to fail. Below, we will be discussing three tips that we believe will help you step up your mental game!

Let’s start off by talking about the only person that can determine your rate of success – you! When everything is going great, it is easy to be positive and look on the bright side of things. However, the question we are asking is this… how do you react when you fail? Failure is a large part of success. How else will you learn and improve? We know that it’s hard to look at the positives in failure, but trust us, they are there. When things don’t go your way, you have to make one of two choices. You either dwell on the mistake or you learn and move forward. We think that the second option sounds way more appealing and productive for your career!

Our next piece of advice is to surround yourself with positivity because you are highly influenced by your environment. The best part? You have control over who and what you interact with. Join a team of like-minded individuals that are positive and optimistic. Their upbeat attitudes will eventually rub off on you and help you maintain your attitude as you tackle your goals. Another way that you can control your environment is to look at how you are using social media. If you are spending 95% of your time online trying to figure out how to be a Kardashian, then you are spending your time recklessly. Start following top business and motivational influencers such a Tony Robbins and Simon Sinek. They will give you the boost that you need whenever you feel your positivity slipping!

Lastly, you need to understand that your language shapes your thoughts. When asked a question, don’t respond with “sure” or “alright.” Instead, answer with “awesome,” “great,” or “absolutely!” These words show your enthusiasm and by adding them to your everyday vocabulary, you are training your brain to think enthusiastically. Your words hold power over your thoughts and only you can take control and push positivity into yourself and others.
